Amigurumi Sheldon by Amiguria

Via Flickr:
So...
It's not really my "thing" to make dolls (humans), specially when it's based in something that already exists...BUT, I really had to make this for my brother! ^u^

He is a fan of the sitcom "The Big Bang Theory" and I thought it would be fun to give him an Amigurumi Sheldon for Xmas. He will probably have a big laugh.

This little man is special because there is NO sewing from head to toe. The arms are articulated, yep, that's how special he is!!! ^u^
I had a hard time making the hair though (had to redo it 3 times) and in the end I kinda liked the result.

Later, I'll let you know what my brother thought of it!

PS: I wrote down the pattern, but it's not available.

I wish you all Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I've been wanting to take a picture of my Amigurumi Cupcakes on my Cupcake stand for a long time.
Today, I finally did it! ^u^

About the pattern:

The finished product can be used as a pincushion, a small-things storage (buttons, clips, beads etc.) You can exchange the wrappers to create a whole new look. You can transform the whipped cream into a cute keychain! It is a cute gift and can be used as a piece of decoration. Kids will love to play food with it (but not suitable for small children).
Finished size are: Wrapper: approx. 3.5 cm, Cake: approx. 6 cm and Whipped cream: approx. 3.5 cm - using a 3.5 mm crochet hook with a 100 grams yarn (also depends on the tension you use).
  • Uses English crochet terminology;
  • This is a INTERMEDIATE level pattern and you should know how to: single crochet, double crochet, make a Magic ring, slip stitch, use back loops only, invisible decrease, work with post stitches and more;
  • All the materials you’ll need and instructions are in the PDF file;
  • It’s okay to write me with questions about this pattern;
  • It’s NOT okay to distribute this pattern (for free, selling, putting on your blog, website etc.).

Homemade Buttons!

Homemade Buttons!  by Amiguria
Shrink Dinks Buttons
Homemade Buttons! , a photo by Amiguria on Flickr.
Via Flickr:
Today I played with something so cool and different!
I made buttons of my son's face!!! ^u^
I LOVE transparent things so this worked perfectly for me!
I was looking for cool and different ways of making my own labels and I think I found it.
I did not have time to work on the labels yet, but as soon as they are done, I'll post in here.

The buttons are very easy to make: you just need to have the Shrink Dinks plastic, scrapbook cutter, punch hole, permanent marker pens and an oven. You cut the plastic, make your drawing on it, put it on the oven and it's done!!! ^u^

It shrinks and gets thicker than the original plastic! It's so cool!!! ^u^

You can make a lot of stuff with it!!
