After a long, long time...

Yes, I've been away for so long...but it doesn't mean I was not doing anything - oh, no! I've made a lot of things awhile "silent" from my blog and my flickr page.
Let's see: I've moved from Illinois to NY, learned to sew (at least the basics :)) and created lots of other amigurumi toys. I hope that, with time, I'll post them here.

So today, I'm gonna show you my latest design (but it's not a crochet one) - it's a Tooth Fairy Pillow!! I made it for one of my best friend's daughter - Hannah. She is 5 years old, super cute and sweet girl and just lost her first tooth! Kinda made it gender neutral so her brother can use it too.

  Materials:
! Crochet hook E/3.50mm
! Yarn white, red & green
  ! Stuffing
  ! Stitch marker
  ! 2 Pipe cleaners
  ! Scissors
  ! Tapestry needle

Instructions:
R1- sc 6 on Magic Ring (white yarn)

R2- 2sc on each st (12 sts total):
      12 sts:
       4 sts white yarn
       4 sts red yarn
       4 sts white yarn

R3- Using BLO (only for this round):
      Sc on each st (12 sts):
      3 sts white yarn
      4 sts red yarn
      5 sts white yarn

R4- Sc on each st (12 sts):
      2 sts white yarn
      4 sts red yarn
      6 sts white yarn

R5-R37- You will keep following the pattern of the diagram aside until round 37

Keep stuffing along the way
Before last round, insert the pipe cleaner:
Twist 2 pipe cleaners together;
Fold in half;
Twist again;
Fold in half;
Twist once more;
Wrap in stuffing;
Insert to the cane;
Follow R38 bellow and close.
                                                            
R38- Invdec all around (6 sts total)
Finish of, weave in ends and cut the yarn
Bend the tip to form the cane shape


Little Bow:
Ch 12
From the 2nd st from the hook: dc 4, slst 3, dc 4
Finish leaving a long tail for sewing. Wrap the extra yarn a couple of times in the middle of the bow, make a knot. Attach the bow to the candy cane.
